Just about 30 minutes by JR train from Kobe Sannomiya, you’ll find this incredible temple tucked away north of Suma Station. The moment I stepped into the temple, I felt like I had found exactly what I was looking for—peaceful, mystical, and completely untouched by commercial tourism. Climbing up the stone steps, I was rewarded with a breathtaking view. What makes this place even more special is its location: just a short walk from the modern, Western-style spots, Suma Beach and Suma Sea World. It’s the perfect contrast—and a perfect balance—to your Kobe day trip.
